Statue of Liberty

I have never been up the Statue of Liberty, but I did get to see it when I was in New York in the fall of 1997.  Tonight, there was a documentary on T.V. about the Statue, and I decided I wanted to see pictures of it while it was being constructed. 

It was, of course, built in Paris - fully constructed and then taken apart to be shipped to the U.S.
