Do you ever get to the end of the day and wonder where it went?  Well, Saturday was one of those days.  I went to the Hutterite colony, did some laundry, some wall patching, some cleaning, some baking and some actual paid work.  It went by quickly.  And then, at the end of it, was a lovely visit with friends over dinner.

Here's how it looked:

Fresh veggies from the garden and a Saskatoon/Strawberry/Apple pie (saskatoon pie is a necessity after picking saskatoons last week)

Fresh veggies from the garden

What I made from those fresh veggies, some others, some herbs and cheese, ham and eggs (the last two fresh from the Hutterites) - Quiche!  It was really good, too.

One of the many dragonflies hanging around this summer.

Our friend and neighbour, Kevin, making his contribution to supper.

My adorable child doing what he does best - computer games.

So that was my Saturday.  Good food, good company and cooking!  It was fun.  A great way to spend the day.
