"Do we have the courage to face the realities of our time? And allow ourselves to feel deeply enough that it transforms us and our future?" (Chris Jordan, Midway Journey).
Thanks to Beth Terry at www.myplasticfreelife.com and this particular post, for pointing out this Kickstarter Campaign to her readers.
The Midway Project, led by Chris Jordan, is an eye-opening research project that points out the very basic problems of plastic consumption.
Most of you have probably seen this photo or one like it of the baby albatrosses from Midway Island (an island very remote from civilization) who are fed plastic:
These photos have affected untold numbers of people and started them thinking about their consumption and discard behaviours.
The Midway Journey is in the process of creating a movie to help educate people about this horrific problem that our planet is suffering from.
Please take the time to watch the trailer and, if you can, send a few dollars to help get this project underway.
They only have a few days left to raise their goal in their Kickstarter campaign, so the most important thing is to share this blog post, Beth's blog post or the Kickstarter link and get other people to consider donating and sharing.
Let's help them get this important film to the public.
