Dear God:

What exactly am I supposed to be doing while I'm here?  Sometimes I feel like I know, but right now I don't.  Life has gotten awfully small.  It used to be big.  So what is the reason for that.  Show me what you want me to do.  When you're ready.

Oh ... and could you send a little more Spring our way.  The taste we've had this week has lifted a lot of spirits around here.

  1. All that is required is that you just BE . . . in the moment.

  2. Of course, the commenter is absolutely right. So why do I feel like I'm needed for something else?

  3. May I suggest The Rush Hour Shaman by Janet Elizabeth Gale. She's a Calgary-based practicing Shaman and urbanite who teaches people how to re-connect to the earth. There's a whole chapter on learning to journey so you can meet your spirit guides - then you can ask them these questions directly.

  4. Thanks, Laura, I'll check it out. Don't know if you're aware, but I used to be part of a shaman's drum circle when I lived in Texas. I know my spirit guides, but for some reason didn't think to talk to them about it.
